| Rustboro City Rustboro City is a metropolis located in western Hoenn. It is the fourth largest city in Hoenn. Rustboro City has an unusual yet unique cityscape in the Hoenn region. The buildings' architectures are designed with stones, giving it an old-town feeling. This city is the main hub of industry in the Hoenn region, with the Devon Corporation as its beating heart.

| | An elite school in Hoenn that students must pass an entrance exam to enter. It is tied with schools across the other Regions. Students that graduate from these schools will often be accepted into impressive Universities.

| | Rustboro serves as the establishment for the Devon Corporation, a company which makes many items for Pokémon Trainers. The company headquarters is located in the northwest corner of the city, and takes the appearance of a large, old-fashioned looking building. A sign outside reads:

| | The Gym Leader is Roxanne, who specializes in Rock-type Pokémon. The Stone Badge is awarded for defeating Roxanne. The Gym is a maze; there are two paths, one path which battles the Gym Trainers, while the other path lets the players go through without battling.

| Dewford Town Dewford houses a dock, providing transportation between Route 104 and Slateport City. The island town is home to Brawly, the Dewford Gym Leader who specializes in Fighting-type Pokémon. Unlike other towns, Dewford does not offer a Poké Mart.

| Slateport City Slateport was created because the clean water made the food abundant in the area, so a local market started to grow. The city then soon became a harbor where ships and boats come and go. There is a lighthouse near the south of Slateport that illuminates the sea for passing ships. It is a great shopping destination with a local Slateport Market. Captain Stern is a big name in Slateport. He is an undersea explorer who runs Stern's Shipyard, the local Oceanic Museum and also working on the S.S. Tidal which runs in and out of Slateport City after its completion.

| | The Slateport Market is an open-air bazaar featuring items that cannot be easily found anywhere else. The Slateport Market has been in business since the creation of Slateport City itself as the clean water made the food abundant in the area, so a local market started to grow. The Slateport Market is situated next to the ocean, so the scent of the salty sea seeps through the air.

| | The Oceanic Museum is a large two-floored museum located in the eastern district of Slateport. The museum was built by Captain Stern to teach others of the ocean and the ocean floor. There is an entrance fee which must be paid upon entry. The first floor contains information about the sea. There are seven exhibits, each with a different piece of information about the sea. On the western wing, there are experiments and displays involving Whirlpools, Waterfalls, buoyancy, and fossilization. While, on the eastern wing, there are displays and samples of ancient beach sand, and old sedimentary rocks, as well as fun facts about the sea. On the second floor, there are nine more exhibits, which include models of the Hoenn region and the ship S.S. Anne.

| | Slateport is the home to the headquarters for the Hoenn branch of the Pokémon Fan Club. The Fan Club is basically a place for people to meet and chat about their favorite Pokémon and to show off their collections to each other. In general, the members are usually more oriented to unevolved, cute Pokémon and Pokémon Contests than Pokémon battles. The people in the Fan Club adore their Pokémon and give friendly advice.

| | Stern's Shipyard is a building owned by Captain Stern. Stern's Shipyard is a large brown building located next to the ocean. In front of the building are two houses, and around the building are three small wooden boats. It is located in the eastern part of Slateport City, and is where the S.S. Tidal was constructed. The Shipyard also takes old boats and sinks them, to make habitats for the Pokémon who live around the city and its neighboring beaches.

| Mauville City Modelled on Lumiose City in Kalos, the city was designed a built by the Gym Leader Wattson. The City is an odd looking multi-story complex that seems to resemble a shopping centre more than a City.

| | A bike shop is located in Mauville City which is called Rydel's Cycles. It is very conveniently located for the owner and customers alike, as the Seaside Cycling Road runs on Route 110, just to the south. Rydel sells Acro Bikes and Mach Bikes.

| Lavaridge Town Lavaridge Town is a small town in central western Hoenn. It is located on the southern foot of Mt. Chimney. The town is well known for its hot spring and is a popular destination for elderly citizens.

| | The hot springs are connected to an opening in the back of the Pokémon Centre. The people draw as much hot water as they need, yet the spring never runs dry. The magma in the active volcano causes veins of water nearby to well up as hot springs. According to legend, the Lavaridge hot springs calm tension, relieve muscle ache, solve romantic problems, and attract money.

| Mt. Chimney Mt. Chimney is a volcanic mountain located in the northern half of Hoenn, directly northeast of Lavaridge Town. At its southern base lies Route 112, the Cable Car Base Station, and both the northern and southern openings of Fiery Path, a tunnel through the mountain itself. The Cable Car line inclines up the side of the volcano northwesterly until it reaches the other terminal at the peak. Here a choice can be made to continue on the short ascent to the magma crater of Mt. Chimney, or take Jagged Pass descending the south side of the mountain; a trek littered with ledges, mountainous foliage and ash-covered grass hiding wild Pokémon, then finally vacating back onto Route 112, on a pathway west to Lavaridge.

| Fortree City The residents of Fortree City live in treehouses and get around by a system of rope bridges that hang in the treetops. Due to the physical exertion needed for such a lifestyle, they are all healthy and fit, and by preserving Fortree's natural environment they are able to live nearer to wild Pokémon than the residents of most other cities.

| | The Fortree Gym is the official Gym of Fortree City. Fortree's Gym Leader, Winona, uses Flying-type Pokémon. When defeated, she awards the challenger the Feather Badge.

| Lilycove City Despite Lilycove lacking a Pokémon Gym, it offers a wide range of attractions. The Hoenn region's Department store, the Lilycove Department Store, is located at the top of the hills offering numerous amounts of supplies for visiting Trainers. Lilycove houses a harbor in which the S.S. Tidal provides transportation to Slateport City and the Battle Frontier. Lilycove also houses the Lilycove Museum and the Cove Lily Motel for tourists to stay in.

| | One of the major features in Lilycove is the grand Contest Hall where the Platinum Rank Contest are held. These Contests attract many Coordinators and Pokémon from around the country to watch and participate in the events. A lot of citizens are honored to have the hall located right at their doorstep.

| | The Cove Lily Motel is a local motel in Lilycove. It is located east of the Contest Hall. The rooms themselves are very basic though.

| | Northern Lilycove is home to the Lilycove Museum, where fine art and paintings are on display. The museum is located west of the Lilycove Department Store and the western-most attraction in town. There are many statues here, including a few that are replicas of real statues, as well as a few paintings. Many people wander around this floor for inspiration or to just marvel at the fantastic pieces of artwork. It is this hall that features the classical artwork of Pokémon, and the symbolization of Pokémon, while most artwork originated during the ancient times.

| Mossdeep City The island of Mossdeep is covered in plants and flowers. Its weather is mainly sunny, and its winds are stable. This clear weather made Mossdeep the ideal location to build a space center to launch large rockets. In Mossdeep, there is a white rock which holds a special meaning to the people at the space center. They placed the rock outside of the space center as a symbol of their wish for their rockets to fly safely.

The people living in Pacifidlog Town all fish and dive as part of their lifestyle. The ancestors of the people in Pacifidlog Town were said to have been born on boats, and lived and died aboard them. According to legend, they lived that way because they were searching for something.
